Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a holistic therapy that looks at the root of the problem as well as the symptoms.
It is a form of healing that has been used in China for over 2000 years.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory our health is dependant on the fine balance of Qi energy in our body. It is believed that illness is the result of an imbalance of the Yin and Yang qualities of Qi.
Acupuncture is a therapy that works by inserting very fine needles in to points located on energy channels called meridians that run through the body.
The Acupuncture practitioner stimulates these points to enable the body to activate a healing response and restore natural balance.
Treatment
During a treatment small, sterile needles will be inserted into the body, by a qualified practitioner.
Sometimes a dull sensation, heat or tingling feeling may be experienced by the patient. Patients are often surprised at how painless the treatment is.
